Theo decided he would start pulling his weight around here and "help" mom with the dishes... by trying to crawl into the dishwasher

Theo's Daily Portrait: Eluding Nap-time
As you can see, his eyes are wide open...
Theo's Daily Portrait: The Epitome of the "Puppydog Look"
Theo is building an arsenal of looks that will likely get him just about anything he wants when he learns how to talk. This is his most effective weapon so far...
Theo's Daily Portrait
With the move I haven't posted a daily portrait in awhile, so here it is... Theo likes the new bed; it has ample room for exploration!
Theo's Daily Portrait: I am AWAKE!
Theo was very happy to greet the dawn today
Theo's Daily Portrait: Cruisin' in the baby walker
Theo has learned how to go forward AND backward in his baby walker. We are very proud.
Theo's Daily Portrait: Breakfast
Theo was pretty excited about his grapefruit this morning
And his quest to attract the ladies continues...

Theo's Daily Portrait: Serious Water Activity
It's typically not that difficult to get Theo to smile... unless of course he is playing. Playing for Theo is not always smiley and giggly fun; more often than not it seems for him, playing is nothing more than a means to an end (the end being finally figuring out what he is playing with and how it works). While is trying figure out how it all comes together, if you distract him, he will shoot you the iciest stares known to mankind... no smiles for you. His focus today was trying to figure out how to successfully pick up the stream of water coming out of the hose. And yes, I interrupted that.
Theo's Daily Portrait: The Age of Exploration
Theo made the great crawling (more like dragging) trek from the center of the lawn to the fence. It was quite a journey for the fun-sized explorer, but he seemed to feel it was worth it.
Theo's Daily Portrait: A Good Night's Rest
Theo slept from 8:30pm to 5:30am. We are very proud parents.
Theo's Daily Portrait: Distraction Props
Every time I take Theo's portrait in front of the house, he gets more interested in the palms behind him than the lens in front of him. As a result, I get a ton of shots of the back of his head... This time I gave him a book as a distraction from his normal distraction. Worked like a charm!
Theo's Daily Portrait: Sick Day
Theo has been pretty sick with a cough and a fever, so I decided to give him a break on his daily portrait and not make him get out of bed for it.
The Progression of Theo
These are a few of the images of Theo's progression over the past 9 months
Theo's Daily Portrait: Theodoir Quinn The Exhibitionist
It was pretty hot outside today, so we filled up a Rubbermaid tub with water on the front lawn and stuck Theo in it to cool down. He didn't seem to mind...
Theo's Daily Portrait
This is Theo's response to "Give me your best James Dean..."
Theo's Daily Portrait
After a long stretch of scowling, he finally gave me a goofy smile
When the spit hits the fan... Theo's Daily Portrait
Right in the middle of slobbering...
Theo's Not-so-Daily Portrait
I haven't been as on-top of things as I would like with Theo's Daily Portrait, but here's to better consistency! Today was a kind of grumpy morning for him, so looking at the camera wasn't happening. The photo was taken on the field at the Lihue Community Center across the street from our house at sunrise.
